The sweet scent of Corsica
Choose the French island of Corsica, ‘the Scented Isle’ in the Mediterranean and enjoy the wafts of sweet scent that blow on the wind from its native bush lands. With our Corsica Dream South 8 Days / 7 Nights, you’ll hop between Ajaccio, Valinco, Bonifacio, Lavezzi archipelago and Ile Piana. You’ll explore:
- Ajaccio – This port town has Roman and Napoleonic heritage with a 16th century citadel, palm-lined promenade, lively quays and attractive architecture
- Porto Pollo – Swim and snorkel the reefs of Taravù in the Gulf of Valinco, just off this seaside resort. The gulf is fringed with white sand beaches
- Campomoro – Overlooked by the largest Genoese tower on the island, this is a traditional fishermen village with authentic charm
- Propriano – Attractive resort with a wonderful harbour, which isn’t too crowded even in high season
- Senetosa – Discover magnificent wild moorings and coves where you can swim, snorkel and kayak in peace and quiet
- Bonifacio – Visit the impressive port town with its clifftop citadel, fortified city and vibrant harbour
- Lavezzi Islands – An archipelago of uninhabited granite islands in the Strait of Bonifacio. This marine and nature reserve is home to rare birds and fish. It’s popular with snorkelers and divers and at Ile Piana, you’ll find a natural aquarium
Or you can enjoy the north of the island with our Corsica Dream North 8 Days / 7 Nights, which will take you on voyage around Sagone or Cargèse, Les Calanques de Piana, Calvi, Scandola Nature Reserve and Girolata. You’ll visit:
- Ajaccio – Board and sail to the bay of Sagone or Cargèse (depending on weather conditions). Sagone is a small fisherman’s village with a long white sandy beach, while Cargèse is an attractive harbour village
